"Dear Family and Friends,
It is my sad duty to inform you that Carol Lee died this morning about 2:15 a.m. after her long struggle with cancer. She passed peacefully, and her face had a beautiful expression. She just quietly stopped breathing.

I have been awed by people calling to say how much she helped get their lives on track. Many will miss her, too."

Carol Lee & Choppy's place near Goodbee, LA

Her memorial service was held here: it is in the woods 1/4 mile from the road, recognized by a white mailbox with the street number. This place served as their home & as a small retreat center, Carol Lee's counseling office, and also a temporary home for St. Athanasius Anglican Church.

Remembrances

That beautiful expression on her face was an understanding and spiritual knowledge of the closeness of Jesus at hand. I am very thankful there was peace in her final moments. However, I understand your profound pain, and you will be very close in my prayers, Choppy. The Lord will sustain you at this time as you already know certainly. Yet, His grace is even more profound in time of great loss. He is a merciful God.
